A Market Out of Recovery

It’s difficult to remember when our paradise was looking not-so-sunny during the recession. The seasonal nature of our area, the sheer volume of second-homeowners, and our reliance on tourism to sustain our economy meant that during the Great Recession, we took a massive hit. In times of plenty, few readily recall the havoc that we have spent the last decade pulling ourselves out of. If we take a look at now compared to 10 years ago, we will see that it might finally be time to say loud and proud: We are out of recovery!

July's Highest Sale: Palatial Paradise on Longboat Key

I was fortunate to work with the sellers of this month’s highest sale in our area! Villa de Como is a true gem of modern Spanish architecture right here on the coastline of Longboat Key. In 2016, my photo of this sensational home won HGTV’s “Making an Entrance” award for its posh gated paver entrance, flanked by cathedral-style insets with fountains and lined with towering palms. The spectacular entrance is the perfect greeting for this stunning estate, which sprawls along the waters of Sarasota Bay with over 10,000 square feet of luxurious living space.
